HelpAge Deutschland, Germany
Established in 2005, HelpAge Deutschland raises awareness about ageing and development in Germany, and promotes the social, economic and cultural rights of older people in the developing world.
HelpAge Deutschland is the only German NGO focused on ageing and development, and it works closely with the German Government and civil society organisations.
Since 2005, HelpAge Deutschland has been a HelpAge affiliate and has worked with a range of other affiliates, including on HIV and AIDS prevention with MUSA in South Africa and training older people in disaster prevention with RIC in Bangladesh.
HelpAge Deutschland also informs the Federal Government and the European Union on issues of ageing and development.
In 2009 HelpAge Deutschland became a HelpAge sister organisation and now shares the same vision, mission and brand.
